Glass handling: lifting, moving and mounting glass and windows
Glass lifts are designed for transportation or special installation of glass and windows. Large suction plates hold heavy panes of glass by means of a manually or electrically set vacuum and secure them in the desired position. The use of a lift simplifies the handling of sensitive glass in any work area and actively reduces the risk of breakage during building glazing. Within this category you will find lifts for transporting and mounting glass, sheets, and more.
How does a glass handling lift work?
The use of a lift can speed up existing processes, make them more precise, and increase the safety of employees and materials. Heavy glass and windows quickly reach a dead weight of more than 100 kg, and several employees must be used to lift these heavy items. A lift, however, picks up the glass, transports it and makes it available for installation in the desired position, and this is controlled by one person.
The lifts have several suction plates (suction cup assembly) that generate a vacuum manually or electrically. As soon as the glass is vacuumed, the vacuum remains until the user disables the suction cup. The advantage of the vacuum is that the glass or the window frame cannot be damaged. Despite their small diameter, the suction cups can have a high loading capacity.
How many types of glass lifts are there?
Depending on your needs, you can choose from different models of glass lifts. From manual to electric models, you will find the right glass manipulator that perfectly fits your work processes. If you already have a mounting lift, you will also find glass suction cups in our shop. This way you can further expand the possible uses of the tool.
Below we provide more details of the different lifts in this category:

GT 2 Glass lift
GT2 glass manipulators or glass plate lifters and assembly lifters are designed to accommodate and transport glass, windows, plates, and more. At least 2 vacuum cups occupy the elements in the center and provide a secure grip. Vacuum is usually set manually via a vacuum button. The devices were developed for transporting long or bulky glass or window elements in construction sites, glazing, renovations, or additions.
Hence the compact size for maneuvering through doors or narrow aisles. The crossbars can be rotated and folded for easy assembly. This way you have the ability to turn the drive in the registered state. So that you can also drive through narrow passages, the intake crossbar and load can be bent 90°. The load to be carried is positioned and transported parallel to the device. A large pneumatic tire cushions small floor irregularities and facilitates transport even on uneven floors.

GRM 250 – Manual glass lift
GRM 250 manual glass lift has the advantage of picking the glass up and carrying it, supporting in any position.
It is a manual device with high loading capacity and greater flexibility in positioning glass or window elements. Counterweights balance the long arm.
This means that even high-rise assembly positions can be processed. But even during renovation work, small obstacles can be bridged in this way. Large tires make it suitable for off-road use.

CA 400 – Electric glass lift
The CA 400 Electric Glass Lift with glass suction devices (manual) offer the possibility of expanding their usability with other load suspension devices.
All lifts have a frame with counterweights. In this way, glass can be picked up from the floor and transported to the installation site. Lightweight and stable aluminum, large rear and two front swiveling transport and its compact size ensure that CA400 can be carried to the site by one person. CA400 is ready for use in a few simple steps.
Its electric drive with wired remote control and variable speed ensures precise and effortless work. If necessary, CA400 can also be operated manually with a hand crank.

What should I consider before purchasing a lift?
Before deciding on a model, the following questions need to be clarified personally:
- In what environment do I wish to use the device?
- Should the device only be able to carry it or refine it?
- What load capacity is required?
- How high should the glass lift be able to lift?
- Should the transport be done electrically or manually?
- Do I have individual requirements for a lift?
